I can't say either way if I will, Niles. I hardly know him. I thought since we would be living under the same roof and likely working in tandem with each other and Leo, that we should at least talk. My name is Saïx.

I thought I knew him. But since you know more about me than I do you, I guess I don't know him much at all.

[Niles looks at him.]

I'm not exactly interested in working in a threesome with someone who I know nothing about. If you want to work in tandem, I need to see it in action. Otherwise, you're blowing hot air.

[He moves to walk past him.]

He only told me your name, what you looked like, and that you were his other shinki.

[Saïx reflexively reaches out to stop him, palm flat against his chest and a decent amount of strength to back it up. If Niles wants past him, he's not going this way.]

How do you expect to find out anything about me if you're going to walk away like that?

And that's more than what he's told me about you.

[Considering he doesn't even know that his god had another shinki. He's none too happy about that.]

I expect to see it when we fight. If you are truly his other shinki, then that shouldn't be a problem, should it?

[He really does not understand Niles or what his preoccupation with Leo not telling him something is.]

I've been here less than a day. I think you can forgive him for not informing you. Did you expect that he would seek you out immediately after my arrival when he was busy cleaning the temple? I can only assume you didn't help with that, otherwise you would have run into me or he would have had the opportunity to tell you.

[His hand is still firmly planted on Niles's chest.]

No, that certainly won't be a problem.

[Oh, is this how he's going to play? That's fine. His hand moves to grip Saix on the wrist.]

Let me make things loud and clear to you. If you get in my way of doing my job, which is not cleaning, then you can be expected to be terminated of your position under my god. By force.

[He moves to step back, releasing his wrist.]

Now. Stay out of my way. Because once I have my target, I don't miss.

[When Niles grabs his wrist, Saïx doesn't flinch or back down. He's too strong-willed to be cowed by someone he doesn't view as a threat. Not that he doubts Niles's abilities or strength, but that he has no reason to believe Niles holds any sort of power over their god.]

I believe that decision is Leo's, not yours. But don't worry. I won't get in your way again.

[Saïx drops his hand to his side and steps out of Niles's way.]

He makes the decisions to remove you from him... while keeping you breathing.

[He walks right past him.]

Then we'll get along just fine.

[And he moves over to a chair near some of the bookshelves to sit and browse.]
