"Happy birthday Niles," John laughed as he tipped the whisky bottle and poured out a messy row of shots. The gang had come out to town to celebrate and they were planning on doing this right. The last job they did paid out well and the law was many miles behind them, so now was the time to make the most of it.
John took a shot glass and raised it, smirking at his friend, "To the years you got and many more ahead."
"Hah." Niles grins as he takes down one of the shots before stealing another. "Glad to hear you're celebrating my birthday this year." Humming lightly as he puts another down.
"So. What did you get me as my present, John?" He chuckled, "Come on, you've been sneaky for a bit. I bet it's something."
John chuckled, shaking his head. He was hoping he could make it a little longer but feeling this fuzzy and also this close to time he knew he couldn't keep any secrets.
"Boys and I have pitched in for a room upstairs for you, and some entertainment. Some other stuff for you back at camp, new gear and such, but tonight we want you to have your own kind of fun." He poured another pair of shots.
“Oh really? Entertainment?” Niles takes the shot and tosses it down. He’s been drinking with the best of them since he was thirteen and could more than handle his booze. He looked at John and smirked. “And your wife knows about this?” Moving to rest his hand on John’s thigh and gave it a good hard squeeze.
“After all, your gun is all the entertainment I could want.”
