I just realized that in the chaos of the last day I may not have informed you that I was apparently assigned a second shinki. His name is Saix.

[ Niles' phone will ring precisely one and a half times before whomever was on the other end decides to hang up. ]

[He looks at the phone for a moment. The number isn't one he recognizes as important. Must have been a wrong number.

He's currently drinking bourbon and looking up at the sky in his room. There's no desire to leave the house right now.]

April 30th

[On the evening of April 30th, Saïx places two take-out containers of fried rice from the god Thanatos in the fridge. One has Leo's name on it and the other has Niles's name. Aside from that, there's no other indication of what it is. Despite being healed from eating the meal, he's too tired to bother with letting either of them know that there's food for them in the fridge. He just goes right to bed.

The food will be there the next time Niles goes to get something to eat. While Saïx is fairly certain Niles has no injuries to be healed, he didn't want to leave him out by bringing food for Leo and not for him. Besides, maybe the gesture might get Niles speaking to him.]

I...realize my frustration over being left out of the loop regarding you and Forrest prevented me from thanking you for protecting him. [He also forgot that he needed to actually say that with Niles now] So. Thank you. I don't have many people here I trust and care for, and Forrest is one of those people.

As are you. I just don't think I'm very good at expressing that. So, yes, thank you.
